Metaverse Overhauled

It has a brand new look

When I click on the metaverse logo to the left, it takes me first back to this tread, if I click again then it takes me to the metaverse. Any ideas why?

Every link on this site has been doing that to me for a week, both at work and home. I click on a link and then it loads the page I was already at. I click it again and it takes me to the link. Odd.

Yeah, this issue is known. I believe there should be a fix for that soon, I would imagine.

Many of the medals are missing Title tags, so we have no idea what the medal's for.

Any chance of us seeing those medals underneath our posts like with the GC1 forums?

Got a couple of quirks here. In Firefox, the "Fan Site" text/JS is positioned incorrectly--it's covering up the"Accounts" button. The images for the main links on the intro page are in the wrong places when using Opera (I have 8.5, 8.51 may be different, dunno). Looks pretty nifty, otherwise.

Indeed. This is part of a new login system that was implemented. It's a minor inconvenience at present and will be addressed.

Many of the medals are missing Title tags, so we have no idea what the medal's for.

Yes. With the metaverse rollout we will be upgrading the galciv2.com forums as well. All in due course however. The missing titles are temporary. There are many 'testing' medals that you'll see all characters have at the moment. When the game goes live those will be reset.

The Metaverse looks awesome. Great work...now I REALLY can't wait for the game.

Also...the Altarian and Arcean pics in the Player's Profile places are reversed. The Altarian pic is used for games played by the Arceans and vice versa. ; Just thought I'd point it out in case no one had noticed.

Turn off AdBlock or get AdBlock plus and add the metaverse to the whitelist.

If you use the forums link that is in the Metaverse menu bar (https://forums.galciv2.com ) you can see some of the updates we have done (medals displayed in the comments).  We are still tweaking a few things so thats why the link from the main site doesn't point there yet.

I dont know if this is just me, but when i go to the Metaverse i am not auto-logged in (if im surpose to be) and when i do try to log in to the metaverse it wont let me, it just brings me back to the metaverse homepage.

If you go to View My Profile to see your characters, and move the mouse over the name of one of your characters, the mouse-over popup says "Click Here For More Information On This Charactor". Aside from the odd capitalization, "Charactor" should be "Character".
