Lots of errors in the tech tree, most are typos, but a few affect tech progress. Most of the errors are due to cut and paste and not correcting the required tech to research. Found one, mass drivers IV, I think, that required mass drivers IV before you could research it.

Selecting social production or military production as a race bonus does not work. It shows as a race bonus, but there is no increase in production for social or military. beta 77b

Can select enemy planets and select details. Destroy colony button and destroy all improvements both are functional.

1. I can’t create fleet. Whenever I bring two ships together and press ‘create fleet’ button I get message:

‘Fleets cannot include freighters assigned to….’


There's a little window that shows the individual ships in the stack. You have to click on each of them to select them all. If you only have one selected you get the message that you cite.

Not sure if this is a bug or not:

I got the screen indicating a planet improvement had been completed. Clicked on the Go to Planet button. While on the planet screen I clicked on the Build Ship button. Instead of going to that screen it puts the screen back up about having completed the planet improvement.

A little fuzzy on this one as I forgot to write it down at the time:

I believe a GNN quarterly report came up. It had a discussion about building freighters for trade routes. The sentence at the bottom of the screen should have been continued further down but the scroll bar on the right did not work.

Playing "Challenging" level and have reached a point that the game keep CTD with the following message from Windows XP Pro. "Instruction 0x4fe7725b referenced memory location 0x04f85010 Memory could not be written. The addresses are not the same each time, just the mesage. I tried reloading the game and doing different things so that the same activities were not being set up before the crash. Finally gave up on that game.

I created a separate post for these, but I'll add them her too:-


Beta 4c has problems loading saved games. I installed the latest version and started a game from the beginning. Saved and loaded OK a number of times. However, today, none of the saved games would load - not even Autosaves.


The Domestic Stats panel of the Domestic Policy screen shows a six digit number for Misc. income.


After an Autosave, game does not always find completed projects - there isn't a popup, you have t look in the planet list and realize it completed.


Spelling issue with "What is a reasonable permanent starbase module limit" on the United Planets voting screen. Permanent is spelled wrong on the highlight line.


In the ship construction screen, double clicking an empty module box causes a crash

When you examine the Stats for Terran and click on the Stat display, all the blue lines diasppear and your are left with a black background and data, no lines, boxes, etc.
