When looking the diplomacy screen with an AI, you are thinking that you can have BC over x month (since it shows 100 BC over 0 months) in a bargain, like in Galciv I. Too bad, you can't set a duration when trying to make a bargain.

Re: metaverse not accepting game submission - I've tried submitting the game again under a different character name, but it still rejects with the same symptoms.

By the way, for those wondering about allowed victory conditions in Beta4b, I won a cultural victory. I've previously won military and alliance.

In the foreign relation screen, the one that allows you to set espionnage and destabilization, the "trade with us" is incorrect:
I have a trade worth 7BC/week with the Drengin (who is the first displayed), and none with others. But when I look at any AI, it told that I have trade worth 7BC/week with any of them.

Bug on trade goods: Pain amplifier, Tri strontium steel and ultra spice display, when selecting them, a bonus in reserach, even if the description says otherwise. From looking at the XML file, it seems that the planetary screen have some problems to handle correctly improvements that haven't planetary bonuses.

Not sure if it is already listed: On the main map, when using the selecting a planet and building a ship from the main map, the proposed ships are a bit strange: the left side is correct, but when you click on a custom ships, sometimes it will show another ship, that maybe used/build by the AI: I don't have named a ship like 2-freighter M0-6. But it is the kind of thing that is sometimes displayed in this quick ship build list.

In my current game, the Drath did have two planets and where under my influence. Without any warning, their planets became Arceans. I have recharge a savegame, and at another time, their planets become Korx. I have also witnessed Yor planet turning into Altarians while the Yors were the most influence in their space.

It seems that surrending have occured each time. But:
- I didin't have any news report about this
- it isn't listed as an event for the race to whom they have surrended.

I traded Ultra Spices to the Iconians for an aliiance (having traded the Aliiance tech to them several turns earlier). The Foreign Policy "Relations" window shows that we are now allied, but the "Treaties" window does not show a blue line for an alliance. Also, the game should have ended as an alliance victory but is continuing.

I've heard of other unreplaceable starport issues, but I haven't heard of this specific one. If you loose the starport due to PQ-reducing and/or improvement destroying invasion tactics, you can never rebuild it.

When you culture flip a planet which was at one end of a trade route, you get the decommision trade route message only when you go to the starport of this planet, not when the planet screen is displayed to you. And the number of the trade route is an huge integer.

I've built economic starbases that I've maxed out with military and social production bonuses, but the details screen of planets within their zones of influence show "No Starbase Bonuses" under the Starbase Bonuses section of the window. The "Stats" section of the window, if I scroll down, shows production and morale bonuses of 150% and 80%, but I'm not sure whether those bonuses are due to improvements I've built on the planets or the starbases.

Bug - Install on Clean System


Sound is installed at off at all sound options. Enabling the sound options results in instant clicks, but music takes a long time to start.

Problems in tech tree

Several problems in the technology tree

1- Starbase Fortifation (should be fortification) it shows 2 starbase fortifation IV (I assume should be 1 IV and 1 V)
2- Advance Planetary Defense there are two of the same (maybe Defense I)?
3- Superior Starbase Defense System also two of the same name.

When i double click on another race's planet and got to details a can change their propaganda rate. If I try to destroy the colony, the game crashes.

Another bug, if I have my spending slider in the military set to 0% and I conquer another planet via Cultural flip-flop that particular planet will keep building ships at the same rate they were before they flipped to my side. I have noticed this in 3 games already.

Small bug encountered yesterday:

I started a game as a custom race and selected among the other AI race the Iconians which were the only ones I set as "Allied". The Iconians remained allied throughout the game however, I kept getting popup messages from the Iconians declaring war --- and although the logo and name of the emperor was Iconian, it substituted the horse-like Iconian leader with the preying mantis leader (belonging to that other race) which leads me to believe there is an error in the file holding race information and that it is in fact the preying mantis race (forgot their name) that keep declaring war on me, and not the Iconians.

Just won a Cultural victory. The endgame summary screen shows Society Score of 2717, but the Social details screen shows Society Score of 0. The technolgy, economic, and military scores on the detail screens all match what is displayed on the summary screen, it's only the society score that is different.

Upon starting a new game, the tech tree that came up on the first turn showed that I already knew a number of advanced technologies, including Interstellar Republic, Star Democracy, and Star Federation. I'm not sure yet whether it was just a display glitch or if the game really thinks I have those techs. I sent a jpg of the tech tree display that shows the problem to gc2bugs.

Post edited: Something is seriously wrong. I just got the message that I'd completed researching Universal Translator, and the tech tree shows that I haven't. I'm going to send a saved game to gc2bugs.

The only thing different about this game is that I started it right after finishing another one, without exiting GC2.

Rats. On reloading the saved game the tech tree looks normal again. Hope the problem can be figured out without it.

Cannot open Menu in game if the "Ships/Planets List" window is open. Menu button is unresponsive until the List is closed.
