Automatic actions after game load - Why?

When I load a game, these actions happen automatically every time:
1) The research window is opened, then
2) The Colony Mgmt window is opened on my home planet

Why does this happen? These actions are not very useful (especially opening the home planet window)

I'm not sure if it does it because the code detects the research being empty and planet being colonized, or if it's actually coded to do it that way. Though you do need to set your research and your builds on the first turn.

That said, I agree that immediately opening them may not be the best option, as I usually want to look at the galactic map, and make my ship moves, before setting those things, as I need that information to decide - for instance, If I can see more than one good planet to colonize, I'm going to bulid another colony ship, but otherwise I'll want my first ship build to be a scout to find one.

Perhaps add the appropriate research & planet icons to the right side of the screen instead?

GC1 does the same thing. I asked Cari about it once, and she said they wanted to give players a reminder of what research they were doing and where their home planet was.

Sometimes I found it annoying, sometimes I found it helpful.
