So with tonight's d/l I finally got past the black-screen lockup. The opening screen is fine except that the menu options on the right of the screen are quite faint. And when I select "New Game" I get the screen jitters and parts of the menu, the 'overlays' if you will, are shifted to the right I think and invisible in places, making the interface useless. DirecX is current as are my video drivers. Debug report follows. The Unallocated Memory Debug Message is repeated perhaps a hundred times or so, I edited them out for the sake of brevity.
