Loading Save games

Is anyone else having save game load problems? I can't load a single saved game. is that by design with this current version of the beta?

p.s.
How do you capture the error report before xp delets it after sending to microsoft.

Yup, we know about the loading bug; it's on the fix list. Don't worry about the error report that Windows pops-up. What we're looking for is the data from SmartException and the debug.err file that appears in the GalCiv 2 directory.

Sorry that I didn't manage to fix the save games for this update.  It only happens when not running in the debugger, so I have to debug it using only SmartException and debug messages, which takes longer than if it would oblige by crashing in the debugger.

It is better. Now, it crashes immediately, instead of consuming all my resources and THEN deciding to crash. Now all you have to do is get rid of the "crashing" part and it'll be great.

LOL!  Well, I have it mostly fixed so you should be able to load games saved with the next update.
