Hello all.
I just purchased GalCiv2 Ultimate edition on steam.
Currently, custom games are limited to 9 opponents. Is there a way to increase this, so I can play against more civilizations?

^ This.And it's hard coded in, you can mod the UI to allow, IIRC 34 or 36 AI's, but the game simply will never load them.
Up the AI difficulty, playing the game straight up on suicidal will be more than enough.
I should mention, there is a mod that will allow the minors to expand, not quite on the level of the majors, but thats 8 more races colonizing at least.Check this thread out, the link is in the OP, iv'e never personally used it, so i can't help you out, but i'm sure Tolmekian will give you any advice you need.
I'd be happy to help you with getting a couple minors to act like the remaining majors. Didn't you do that, qrtxian, or was that someone else? We've discussed all the drawbacks, such as the minors not having any influence and not being able to win, but it would be possible to put something together.
No, that was me - the AAR I've been writing is about the first game I played with that mod, and while it needs tweaking (the minor-Yor were crushed, and the fact that I still haven't met the minor-Thalan by 2234 suggests they aren't doing so hot either) the idea is basically workable. But there's no way you're ever going to get a full set of genuine major races in the game.
