Editing the Arnorian Ranger

Hi friends,

I know that i spossible to edit the arnorian ranger changing:

..Twilight\Data\ShipCfg\S0_Arnorian_Huge.shipcfg

but my question is, it is possible to change it DURING a game? I mean, I save, exit and mod the file, reload the savegame and find the new ship look.

No, because the savegame includes all necessary information for the game.  As another example, if you started a game in 2.01, patched, and loaded it back up in 2.02, it'd be running off of 2.01's info.

How do I make the Anorian Ranger much weaker before I start a game? I've never modded anything in GCII in anyway before, so I need advice in a "simple" way. Thanks in advance
