I have only installed GalCiv2 Dread Lords (on XP, with ATI 9700).

Installed previous patch (using impulse) in during last weekend. Played through a game. Everything went smothly.

Installed patch of today 1.53.156 (using impulse), but I am no longer able to play because the main map does not display correctly. Tried restarting, then start new game, turn off mods, restart again, then start new game, still no hope.

Details:

The error seems to be primarly with the main map. There is nothing unusual until the new game has started or old one loaded. First sign that something is not correct is when Tech Tree is displayed. A few glitces like some of the boxes in the tree wasn't drawn, but aside from that everything is displayed fine and works. When pressing done to continue, the main map is darker than usual with colored "cones" from edge to edge on screen blurring most of the map also hiding the bottom controls. Mini map is just black not displaying anything. During three of four trials I was able to presss ESC and also select the option menu after starting the game, and was then able to exit. The fourth time I was not able to get to the options screen and had to hard reset the computer to move on.

Whats important here is that everything worked fine until this patch. Will this be fixed and / or is it possible to play with the previous patch? I can reinstall, but am I able to access the second to last patch instead of the last one? I don't know how...
