Blank/Missing menu button text help please

I just downloaded from Impulse and installed - when I open any version of the game all the menu buttons are blank. I can play around and hit them all but cannot read any of them. I have been searching for what the problem is with no luck - any suggestions?

Reboot your computer, sometimes the fonts don't 'take' right away.
