Missing/invisible text

After re-installing Dread Lords, Dark Avatar and Twilight of the Arnor, I can no longer see some of the text in game. For example, the main menu (in game, not the launcher) just has blank buttons.

Poking around a bit, I noticed that two fonts in GalCiv2\Fonts, ARLRDBD.TTF and BankGthd.ttf, seem to be broken; previewing them in the Windows font preview program just gives the font title but no glyphs.

Impulse was installed using administrator priviliges, the games were installed with power user privileges.

Any advice?

Reboot your machine, sometimes Windows doesn't register the fonts properly mid-stream.

Worked like a charm, thanks.

Reminds me of the old joke "Windows has detected that your mouse pointer has moved. Your computer will have to restart for this change to take effect."
