So I've been playing ToA for a bit now and I'm enjoying it and I thought with all the shiny new editors I could start building my own shiny new custom race.

I had a little play about on the tech tree editor and I realised I have no idea what I'm doing! I've no experience in modding or anything computer related that's more complicated than drawing mustaches on people using photoshop which as far as I'm aware is what photoshop is for..

How hard is it to build a tech tree from scratch or at least modify an existing one? Harder than putting a mustache on Jessica Alba when she's posing with her back to you and looking over her shoulder? Am I doomed to use the same 12 tech trees I started with (which isn't too much of a bad thing)? Can anyone help?
