So, ToA comes with a tech tree editor, which is great, because I don't have a good XML editor. But it only seems capable of editing the race-specific tech trees -- not the base TechTree.xml that contains all the shared text. When I try to open TechTree.xml, nothing much happens.
I'd like to do a complete overhaul of all the text. Is there any way, hacky or otherwise, to use the tools to edit that base text? Or do I need to suck it up and edit the XML directly?
