Greetings all of you !

I have seen around here some people complaining about the inability of some races, including Yor, to upgrade resource starbases.

I am no expert, but I am currently finishing a Huge game with the Yor (cleaning what's left of the Drengin with Terror Stars and preparing for the last ones, the Arceans), and I can improve my mining modules up to +34 bonus. But I have absolutely no idea what tech allowed me to do so... perhaps space mining ? (I got level 1 only)

Tech trading is disabled, and none of the tech I stole invading the planets could be related to manufacturing, mining or starbases. Do anybody know about this ? Is +34 the maximum bonus one can get from resource starbases or can some other races go higher ?

I also noticed that several, too many races were simply not building military. I also got in previous games very strong empires not building troops transports....... I read somewhere that this is a research cost bug of sort, which makes the AI unable to research these techs past some point in the game. What is the story ? Is this true ? Is there any patch correcting that coming ? Should I wait before investing my time into another map ? (this one, on Tough difficulty, was way too easy due to the number of worlds I could get from races without any defenses).

A last question, concerning tech stealing. In my future games I plan to enable tech trading (mainly to be able to give things like Alliances or Trading to the AI), but to restrain in trading tech I could have got by research, as I don't want to use technology my race shouldn't be able to use (fertility acceleration for the Yor... hummmmm). For this reason I would like to disable tech stealing, in order to avoid having my improvement list spammed with buildings I don't want to use. However, will this also disable the possibility to steal tech by spying ? I don't know if this ever happens as I never invest a lot in espionnage but I would'nt want to lower the strenght of spying races...
