I'm getting a better understanding of what you're saying, but I'm not yet sure that I followed your example. I'll have to parse it more carefully, examining the actualy XML files, when I have some more time.

No prob', i'd do almost anything for my karma!

All we're saying, in fact is that the following theory;

A - N

\ L
****

Wouldn't be able to switch N with L in a number of situations;

a) When they both are the last items in a given column, if they aren't listed properly in the xml order... they'd stay up exactly as written - unless a branch-ID, grouping or category switch interferes.

AND, that...

Everything to the right side of both (N & L) as childs or preqs to additional splittings caused by new connections would necessarily override rule *a)* above.

Fairly simple and yet not so obvious when you have Huge amounts of connections to deal with!

Yeaaahh, that's the same conclusion I eventually reached.

Because there is such a huge jump in the number of techs between columns 1->2, 2->3, and 3->4, I'm not going to be able to order them as I wanted.
