Possibly too late to add to twilight of Arnor, but it occured to me the other day whilst playing as the Iconians and hunting down the Yor.

As I conquered their planets one by one I came across Iconia and thought, if we actually took back our original home world this would be a big thing to the Iconians and surely would be a large celebration! In this case I thought that maybe there should be a special invasion cut screen! A larger celebration cut scene could be shown rather than the standard planet succesfully conquered screen. This could also go for the Torians taking Drengi and the Drath taking Altaria. All these planet invasions would mean more than the average invasion to the respective races.

There could also possibly be a morale bonus awarded, though I hasten to add not if this helps the race significantly! Just as a reward. The cut scenes and bonus would only apply once, on the success of the 1st invasion, so you wouldn't keep seeing the cut scene if the planet was taken back by the AI and then re-conquered by the player!

Just a thought.
