ascension not happening

oooooooooooooooookay i started playing the latest version with ascension and being lazy i did it on a beginner to see what it looks like

i have the 1000 PLUS points for ascension and have had the count down but no ascension

what am i missing out on?

i'm playing under custom race

I'd like to chime in here. I also played under a custom race, hit 1000 points and instead of a victory screen, I got the defeat screen w/o the text.

Yep, Same here, got 1000 points, no victory party....
Ascension condition enabled, Custom Race.
Diggin' the new graphics, though!

I had same result-pretty anticlimactic. Not only that, but it appeared to have destroyed my score. Despite individual category scores in the upper teen thousands to twenty some thousand (economics, military etc), my overall score was only 1900. That didn't seem to compute if I recall correctly the relationship between overall score and individual category scores in the previous versions of the game. Typicall, if I recall correctly, they were roughly consistent with one another.

That's gotta blow, absorbing all those vibes in order to become a better being, only to find out, that you've ascended to being earthworms... Bummer!

I could not ascend either! I had more that 1000 points but nothing happened.

I've got like 1200 ascension points, and the victory thing says 0 weeks till I win, but nothing's happening.
