I was working along, minding my own business and being super good on a single player normal game (not campaign, not metaverse), and I was hit by the Pokemon-esk two-headed bunny in a box event. I was trying to be really good, so I said to let the creatures run free and frolic, which would give me -1 moral in that instance. Right after that, I found that my planet had a frown face next to it, which I found odd since my approval had just been 80some last turn. I clicked on it and this is what I saw... note the approval box.

Now why do you suppose that happened?
Anyway, I promptly threw everything I had into researching xeno entertainment, and as soon as I'd researched it (not built the building, just researched), the stuff went back to normal. Wierd, huh?
Anyway, I wouldn't know how to recreate this, as it was part of a random event occurance, so I don't know how you'd fix this, but I thought Id drop it here in the bug reports section anyway.
For the record, I'm running on a laptop with WinXP, 1 gig of ram, dual core at a total of 6.4gHz, and had no other applications that are not native windows running at the time. This screen was taken the turn of the event. I don't remember what I'd done in previous turns, but it was nothing that was abnormal to play. I was probably at 100% research or 99 and 1 military, and had no other colonies. I was playing this game on a tiny map with two other empires, challenging difficulty, with minimum anomalies, stars, planets, and habitable planets, with very slow research speed, playing the purple bug guys with standard race settings and no game mods. I have the newest version of the game with the bonus features and collectors edition patch available on this site. I have no 3rd party add-ons or changes. I was playing fullscreen at 1400x900 resolution with all graphics turned to maximum.
Hope that helps, and I would LOVE to get some feedback about this. Thanks!
