Ok, I can't seem to figure this one out...
I'm trying to create my own GC:DA referrence guide (for personal in-game use).
And I've stumbled into the fact that there's some really bad math going on with
my starbase upgrading.
First Issue: I send in a constructor to upgrade. The upgrade screen lists
"Overlord Armor +16" "Invulnerability Bloom +16" and "Electro-Magnetic Surge +16"
-If I select any given one, then single-click on the SB in question, it indicates
an added defense bonus of 48 (In the small summary at the bottom of the screen).
-If I double-click the SB to see a full summary, the list at the very top-right
dispays "Starbase Defense +16". But, the Upper-Right hand pane displays a "48" next to the respective defense icon. Furthermore, the list at very the bottom of this screen
shows that the EM Surge is providing a defense of "+46"
This occurs with both my military and economy starbases (not tested with influence bases). Does anyone have a clue what the defense bonuses TRULY are?
Second Issue: Same As Above. However, applied upgrades for "Ray Shielding I/II/III", "Combat Armor I/II/III", and Missile Defender I/II/III", all state (within
the upgrade selection screen) values which may not be corrent. Stated values are
+5, +10, and +30. However, next to the starbase summary defense icons, these values are
increased at a rate of +16, +30, and +62 respectively. So, are the Type III upgrades Truly
giving me the +62 shown next to the icons? Or am I only getting The +30 shown in the upgrade selection screen? Same with the all of them. Which numbers are correct?
Third Issue: Military Starbase Upgrading. Ship Attack Assist Modules. The "Beam Multiplier Field", "Omega Cannon", and "Missile Bloom" All have upgrade types I, III,
IV, and V. Despite the missing Type II modules, my starbases are still maxed with 62/62 total modules. But where the heck is Type II? Did someone at stardock forget what they learned in school about roman numerals? (hehe).
And btw...Am I the only one this is stuff happening to? Or is this stuff considered an overlooked item awaiting update in V1.7 or something?
