Forcing custom star names

Does anyone know if you can force certain star names to be used? For example, if I wanted stars named "Scooby-Doo", "Boringland" and "BUUURRP" to appear for sure in each game, how do I do it?

I've tried adding names to customplanets.xml, but it seems unless they are called for by raceconfig, they don't get used. If I add them to stars.txt, its still random if they appear or not.

Any ideas?

Delete all unwanted entries in stars.txt, and hence the game picks your custom names.
However its some work, because you'd need quite a lot custom names to make sure each star get its unique name
