Hi guys! Just recently I decided to revisit this great game and by playing my first sandbox game after a looong time I encountered this strange thing:
I was sitting in one corner of a medium sized galaxy while the evil race sitting in the opposite corner declared war on me. Being a gentleman not suited to do the dirty jobs I wanted to persuade my direct neighbours to fight these scums. And tell you what? I could have made them fight anybody... except for the ones I WANTED. The choice option for this specific race on the trade screen under Treaties -> Attack... -> simply was nonexistent! Why is that?
Does it have something to do with my range? I doubt that because after they conquered some of my planets (and thus definitely entering my reach) I still couldnt convince my neighbourhood to interfere. (still no choice option available). I then tried a couple of somehow desperate measures just to find out why. I even gave away my planets to readjust the relations around me (ending all other wars) - still no success. I even got my opponent to accept a peace treaty with me - even THEN I simply couldnt suggest my neighbours to attack them. (Oh, and their terms were 'friendly' at max. so no existing alliances or such things)
I searched this forum plus the internet for an answer to this but I failed. Could you help me? Im playing the DL expansion on version 1.0X I think. Maybe it is a bug being fixed with a higher version?
