bad, bad framerates

Absolutely lovin` DA, except the game becomes unplayable when many units occupy the screen. Big time framerate drops. I have adjusted graphics setting to no avail. Did anyone notice this in Dread Lords? Saw a post above about choppy framerates on DA and was just curious if support knew about it, and or, were working on it...? BTW..I have P4 2.8 ghz dual core
1 gig ram
GeForce 7900GS drivers current
XP media edition.

Plenty enough for this game, ya think? Anyone else having framerate probs?
