Dred Lords flash buggie?

Ship preview and map movement freeking-out

After playing the game for some time and the durration varries, the ship, planet, and eventually map movement will start acting very erratic. In the shipyard the turning rate and zoom will just go wacky. Planet preview will do the same. After ignoring this issue for a while, again no specific durration, the map movement will start to skip wildly around the map making gameplay impossible. I should note that first whilst trying to work with Vista that the drivers for my GForce 8800 GTS are beta. I switched back to WinXP to try and resolve this issue so that I did not assist with nother social engineered worm for a Windows product and to play GCII Dred Lords

Why ?? What's the point with AMD x2 processors ?
Is there any issue with that kind of computers instead of Intel ?

AMDx2 processors dont provide programs the timing frequency that they expect, which manifests in GC2 as ships spinning way out of control, scrolling way to fast, etc. It simply requires a driver update from amd.com to fix.

  Thanks LoneWolf0912. That actually makes alot of sense and helps with some other programming issues I am seeing. I was this stop away from applying a bios update that may or may not be from the manufacturer. I saw the patch in my wildly pationate swings back through te hardware groups. Went to AMD and installed it on my Vista32 attempt. Guess I forgot on XP although I did install the new AMD patch PN_1_3_2.EXE thinking this was the one. I will swing back to AMD and see if I can find it. It is hard to get support since the last 4 years I have been supporting Sparc processors ran them past mfg warrentee. So in essence I am a person without any core support now. I feel small having to pick through the public files.

AMD Dual-Core Optimizer - The AMD Dual-Core Optimizer can help improve some PC gaming video performance by compensating for those applications that bypass the Windows API for timing by directly using the RDTSC (Read Time Stamp Counter) instruction. Thanks for your help. Just for giggles why dont we port Galactic Civ to transactional memory? "Transactional memory is a computational model in which threads synchronize by optimistic, lock-free transactions. This synchronization model promises to alleviate many of the problems associated with locking, and there is a growing community of researchers working on both software and hardware support for this approach."
