Each of the pre-set races has un-used ability points under the Abilities screen, ranging from 8 to 10 points.

My question is, when I select a pre-set race, am i "expected" to use up those points? I.e. if I play Humans, am I expected to choose some more abilities to use up their 10 unused points? Does the computer AI do this for the AI players?

Or is everybody already "balanced" as it is, with the remaining points supposed to be unused.
