Not really a beta problem per-say, but in light of that thread about how the Yor super ability is too strong....kinda yeah, if you go all influence

If you can't beat them, join um! I just pulled a "microsoft" strategy of evil influence take-over and I kid you not, I beat a medium map, with 9 opponents on Tough....and the military screen? 0 ships destroyed - no one even made it to war because they were so scared. I influenced Altarians and took them over right off the bat, so I didn't have to worry about multi-wars and from there it was the easiest win I've ever had. I had about 11 spies in my place I didn't even worry about....
Maybe something that can be upgraded a bit in the stages of beta, is how the computer handles influence takeovers? I had 2-3 races complain about influence starbases, but they never did anything. Even moreso...if you're worried about war, have a Mind Control center and take 12 colony ships near an enemy. In one turn, upgrade them all to constructs and build an influence base with 11 upgrades (max culture base). By the time they complain about it in a turn or two, their main planets are completely unhappy and sometimes already revolting. I took over the Drengin Empire in 6 turns

So yeah, something to look at? It's a bit funny using Yor for influence, but with the slower ships in your sphere of influence...it just makes a sickening defense.
