There's one major thing I'd like to see.

I like the major races, but I enjoy playing as my own, so I frequently make custom races. Understandable. However, the flavour text for events like first colonization, GNN and Quarterly Reports, Opening Text, and the adroids I see get stale.
I'd like to see more news stuff. Throw in some humourous stories about a man drinking 500 Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters before combusting, or about the Earth Alliance captain who loses his glasses and commands his ship into a wormhole, teleporting them into a Drath's front lawn.
Event and flavour text, guys! I don't want to have androgynous androids spouting this-and-that whilst speaking like some benevolent race! I want to command legions of evil steampunk soldiers, crushing all in the name of my own 'greater good'! And I want to feel like it!
