1.2 Disappearing turn button

Hi everyone, I've encountered a bug, usually late game when I've been involved in prologned wars where the Turn button disappears after clicking a turn. Normally the computer will complete its' move (as far as I can tell) however the button fails to reappear upon turn complettion. The game doesn't crash however the Menu button also is not available. I've waiting up to 10 mins for the Turn to finish or the button to reappear with no joy has anyone else encountered this error? Alt-F4 and reloading GalCiv2 from my last save point fixes the problem, unfortunately I've not been able to reliably reproduce the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmm...I've heard of freak occourances of the Turn Button going AWOL, but I dont know why the menu button would be missing. Does the ESC key bring up the options menu when this happens?

I've had this problem too, but not to that extent. Mine disappears when i'm at war with the "CPU Intensive Algorithums" Turned on. I have waited like 15 mins for it to appear until i just clicked the area where the button would be. Worked like a charm.

I have the disappearing turn button always when i load a game while the comp takes its turn.
Could this be your problem too?

Hmm Had this occur to me to. I had to close the game and start over. Frozen for over 30 minutes. I too did have the AI algorithms on. The game had been loaded and stable on my desktop for days. I don't remember if I tried to hit the turn button area. Game did not crash to destop or generate crash report. I finally gave up and closed the game out by going to the menu and reloading the save game. Don't remember if I was able to quick save the game when the turn button was frozen. It was weird even though ships had turns remaining, they would not select.

I have had this happen twice
1. was do to CPU issues and is my fault of trying to run this on a P4 1.4ghz 512mb,
2. was an issue were an in game pop (I think it was when I finished research) did not set focus and it just set there I saved the game and load it back up and as soon as it was loaded it prompted me and from then on was able go on lke normal...

this was under version 1.11 and sorry i do not have any data from the game i had to reformat sinces then...

I do not have the CPU intensive algorithms enabled (I find playing on Normal to be challenging enough) and I'm running the 1.2 patch, I have never encountered this error before applying the official patch.

If this happens, first click the "Find" button to make sure you still don't have some active ships left somewhere that still have some movement points left. Only happens if you have the one option enabled to not waste leftover moves from AI moves, etc.
