Mods, how do you get them working ?

I'm running 1.2, but I don't see the choices for the example mod. I've turned mods on, and restarted. Looking in the mods folder I only see empty directories, so that's probably it... But where is the Big sample mod that stardock did ? Do I have to download it separately ?

It's listed in the "example" directory. Maybe go up a few levels and come back down. But it is in 1.2.

Be sure you're looking in the right place; 1.2 uses a mods directory located in GC2's install directory (C:\Program Files\StarDock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\Mods by defualt), not the old one in My Documents/My Games/GalCiv2.

You need to hit the "default" tag ( "change" mod in the option menu) for the "Example" mod to show up in the menu for some reason.( you'll then see both "default" and "example" on the list) I know i did before it showed up. After choosing the example mod you got to reload the game.

ok. Their gui did just what you said in that it didn't show up until i hit default. Thx everybody.

So is it, or will it be possible to play metaverse with just the GUI mods ?
