Online Play?

Hello fellow Space Invaders!
I wonder if this game could be played online so we can play vs eachother for the ultimate fun?
Maybe i cant find the option, or maybe there needs to be a patch or expansion to do it... What ya say?
I wanna play online plz or i will be sad

So, after reading the box, the manual, and poking around the game for any mention of multi, he asks in the forums? In case there was super-secret hidden multi for a select few?

I believe this topic has been beaten to death over the months. As of now, there is no multiplayer; however, you can compete with other people through the metaverse.

Multiplier on turn base game like this one, is like playing chess, or worst
What if your opponents fall asleep, or he suddenly rush to toilets or do some stuff
then you would have to wait him to come back and press the "end turn " button.

What if your oppenents try to annoy you and try not to press the end turn button.
while you are waiting for your turn that would be sad!

a timer, iev played turn based online games, one that is like that one gameboy advanced game but on the comp and flashed base, you could add a timer for like 5min .

Not a great game for multiplayer. I'm glad it got squashed for now so they can make the SP much better.

Games that try to do both almost always fail to do either.

Games MADE for MP do better (like BF, BF2).

I was wondering the same thing. (Noob here.)

It's a shame. Turn-based multiplayer can be a lot better than real-time, if done correctly, such as with a timer, mutual and limited force game pausing. I loved playing Alpha Centauri online. If they really plan on adding it, that would be awesome.

They only plan on adding it if it's cost viable. It has since been kicked senseless by tactical combat, diplomacy, heroes, politics, and I forgot what else.
