Activating Starbase Modules

I have researched modules for starbases but how do I install them on the starbases so I can use them? I can't upgrade because the options are dimmed and can't be used. I can upgrade the ships OK, but not the starbases. I just bought the game a few days ago and intend to go through this forum to learn more, but for now I would like to just play. Are there any strategy books out there? I checked with Amazon but they had none listed.

Are there any strategy guides out there. I tried Amazon but had no luck.

I am sure there are a blue million posts around about the starbases, but it is faster to just give the answer here.
Send another constructor to the SB in question and you get to add a module.

As for the search, I am not sure how well it works, but there is on in the left hand column, under the recent posts section.
