I apologise for the tone of my Fix the (expletive deleted) save file entry. I could have made my point much more diplomatically.
The DEV team now admits it is a bug (and not deliberate as some have stated) so progress has been made. It is something they will correct in the future and that is a good thing.
Oddly enough, my latest crash pretty well convinced me it was a bug before I even had read the responses to my initial entry. One of the AI players had built a Galatic Wonder on the current turn. After the crash (the out of memory problem that has already been acknowledged) and reload it did not complete the wonder until the next turn. This shows the AI production is lost for a turn after loading a saved game so no advantage is gained. Although I can not prove it, I bet they miss the research for that turn also.
Also, kudos to the DEV team for fixing the function that allows you to use all the (leftover) moves your ships.
I would love to see this game succeed for a couple of reasons. I think it has a lot of great features and I like space exploration games. I also love turn based stategy games and if this one goes well others may come on the market.
Cheers,
Superconductor
