I've been playing GalCiv 2 for a month now, and I really love the game. I want to say that so far I think you all have done a good job in addressing issues and creating the beta patches to keep the game updated. I have had very few problems as far as bugs go. By bugs I mean crashes, hardware conflicts, memory issues, etc. After downloading final ver. 1.1, I must say my new concern is for the gameplay issues or conflicts (galactic achievements that don't seem to work, strange economic issues, techs not giving you what they should. Obviously, the posts in this forum go into greater detail than I can here.) Some of these issues seriously affect the gameplay and the strategies you may use to win.
I guess what I want to say is that I hope you take these problems to heart and don't dismiss them as "minor gripes" or that you won't be focusing on patch development as much now that 1.1 has been released. It wouldn't take a whole lot more for this game to be damn near perfect (as far as I'm concerened), and I've seen a lot of great user recommendations that should be implented into the game.
This post wasn't made so much to gripe about what you're not doing as to say that you need to keep doing what you are and don't stop now. I hope that the next patch(es) will focus on these gameplay issues and user suggestions.
Thanks again for a really fun game, and keep up the good work.
