I'm somewhat confused with the customize civilization function. When you first open a civ, it has default abilities, say, for Altarian, Economics +10, Morale +20, Luck + 30, Creativity +30, and Logistics +5.
Now if you enter the abilities tab, only Economics +10 and Morale + 20 are kept, and it says you get 5 points. I assume the 5 points come from dropping Luck, Creativity, and Logistics. However, in customization you cannot achieve those stats. The best you can get is +25 (not +30) Luck, and logistics isn't even an option.
It would seem then that dropping the original stats is not advantageous unless you want a really specialized civ, as some bonuses are lost in the process (in this case, +5 logistics and +5 luck). I welcome comments on this point.
My second question, once you tinker with abilities, are the defaults lost forever? I played my last game as Human, and modified the stats, and now when I open a new game I'm not sure if what I see there is the defaults or my mods. And how would I recover the defaults if I had messed with the abilities? Could someone give me the default stats for the Human? (Why do I care? Because when I play as non-human, I would like the Human to have his original stats, for instance it is known that Human is a good diplomat, but if in my mod I dropped diplomacy, then Human would no longer be diplomatic).
