OK, get ready to laugh.
I'm about 2 1/2 years into the game, my first try in GalCiv II at giant 9 races, and I accidently click on the victory tab. I say accidently because I know that victory is set to conquest, except somehow the interface got all the conditions checked again and now I'm stuck with a game I really don't want to play and 100+ turns of work I don't want to waste. With a game that big I will admit I cheat a bit in that if I don't like the map I will go back to the main menu and click through again, I must have glanced at one of the scenario's or something in between re-rolls and it turned the conditions back on.
Does any one know a way to go in and turn off the other conditions after the game has started? ( I can hex edit with ease but hunting down offsets is kinda like having to snake cable, more pain then gain. :} )
If not I guess I'll just have to start all over, on a map this size that is a lot of work so I'm hoping.....
And no, I won't bother to play out this map, over the years I've had way too many times where some A.I. or other just declares victory, if it doesn't have to beat me directly, to put in the number of hours a giant map takes to put up with that possiblity.
