Apparently he grew up (I use that term loosely) in a time when everything is instant satisfaction. Have some patience man. If you want the game *now*, go make some phone calls and find out what game store near you has it, ask them to hold it, and go pick it up. Or put in a special order at the store. You know that they have better contacts to get the game in a hurry -- directly from a warehouse.
In this day of broadband, you can download it online when you order it. There are many options.
I heard about the game from a friend -- he raved about it. I looked at 5 stores who were all sold out, and decided that if I really wanted it, I could just buy it online. (Well, first I downloaded a torrent, with the full intention of buying it once I tried it out -- three days later I realized I was addicted and I could either delete it or buy it. So I bought it.)
It's easy to get "instant satisfaction" without blowing your gasket.
