Love the game, it really has improved on GalCiv 1 and expansion. Because I just tried playing my first game, I have fresh eyes so to speak and have recorded some bugs and ideas:
-it would be nice to have the ability to determine range between two objects eg. my constructor is heading for an influence resourse but so is another races. It would be nice to determine who is closer to it, thereby getting an idea of whether to keep heading for it or go for another
-it would be nice to have separation between stacked ships (independant ships on same spot). Presently both ships seem to visually combine into one ship
-my middle mouse button doesn't rotate the map as suggested on page 14 of the paper manual and "Viewing the Galaxy" tutorial. This has been mentioned by other users as a bug. Note that I tried both software and hardware rendering for the mouse in the video options screen
-if you quit a game without saving manually first, the game doesn't save your latest game move and doesn't give you the "Continue Game" option on the main menu. Loading the autosave merely loads the game when the last autosave occurred
-there is an incorrect word used in a sentence: "Customize your Civilization" screen, "Select Starting Abilities", "Trade" should read "... the amount of money ..." vice "... the about of money ..."
I hope you take this constructive criticism as an effort to take a great game and make it even better.
