Research Victory doesn't work

So I finally finish researching Tech Victory, I get the message about all the clocks blinking "42" and... nothing happens. The game continues. When I check the "victory conditions" tab in Civilization Manager, it says I'm currently researching Tech Victory, even though I'm actually finished with it.

It sometimes takes a couple of turns for the victory condition to "take," particularly on the larger maps.

Worked for me the one time I went that route. (Not easy to keep under 75% and safely get the tech victory at least for me!)

I've noticed that the victory does not come when meet at start of turn but rather at end of turn for all types I've seen thus far.

Once I even quit thinking I'd won and got the defeated screen! Well re-loaded the autosave and vitory was mine in a couple of clicks of the turn button.

Yeah, I had to go to war with someone to get my research victory before I got a cultural victory. (You cannot win a cultural victory when you are at war.)

Okay, I reloaded it, and this time I got the Tech Victory only one turn after I'd researched it. Thanks, y'all.
