The Fundamentalists

Whose problem are they?

I was playing a huge galaxy game when news arrived that several worlds (from several different 'neutral-leaning evil' empires) had broken off and formed some sort of cult against 'evil'. Luckily, I was not affected.
My question is this: Did my good alignment spare my worlds from rebellion or was it just luck of the draw that this thing missed me?

I had this once when playing on Gigantic size, and the game described my civilization as "demonic" (which must be very evil, I think). Alot of my planets turned over to the fundamentalists. It happens to the really evil civs only. So, your good side saved you

yes, since "demonic" would mean "having the qualities of or relating to demons", that would mean you civ is quite evil...honestly, does no one think vocabulary is fun to learn anymore?

I had that happen and the Yor were completely taken out. I had one of those "temples of evil" and not one of my planets went over to them. Go go Thalans.

Demons are not evil! They're just misunderstood.

The event disintegrated the Drengin Empire, in my game. All of a sudden, those ominous Drengin started looking like porky little purple aliens.

It happened in my game and the Yor and Drengin where hit hard, but the a handful of turns later there was an event saying that the Drengin have changed their evil ways and become a force of good in the universe *shocked*.

It hasnt stopped them from being a warlike pain in the ass, and recently they got that special that makes them more powerful every single turn. Problem is they are at the opposite corner of the galaxy and I cant get to them easily.
