Are the racial abilities glitched?

Seems that when you're trying to customize a race, you can just clear all the abilities...and everyone gets 10 picks.

Yet certain races have WAY more inherent racial abilities like Micro +25 and whatnot. However humans for example only have +6 logistics.

Doesn't seem very balanced to me, or is this a bug?

When you clear or even modify the abilities, they lose the "unpickable" bonuses. You should not modify aliens' abilities if you want to get their inherent bonuses.

you sure?

i've gotten the Yor to have 10 picks and still keep the +25% miniturization and +8% logistics race inherent bonus

Don't forget Yor have 100%loyalty. seriously can't understand why the yor always get smacked down in games but when I play with them its like I'm a wargod. definately my favorite race to play for warfare. perhaps the yor need an ai tweak to give them some teeth. Technically the Yor should be worse than the drengin since they want to exterminate all organic life with cold calculated effieciency. I kind of see them as either A: deceptigons or B: the Machines from the matrix. *shudder* ...that idea just makes them creeper.

Yes, the standard races keep some of their original bonuses when modified, and their initial abilities don't add up to 10 points - this is intentional (for flavour reasons).

ok well the 100% loyalty is gone you're right

either way...+25 miniturization and +8 logistics >>> +6 logistics...

they need to rebalance it and give racial abilities points otherwise it's best to pick Yor as a base race for custom race...then adjust from there, changing portraits and stats

My thougt exactly, I just cant play anything else, just Yor in 100 different versions, well, 3 games for now...
I wanted to play humans today, but they seemed so underpowered, so week, so i just decided to play Yor again and exterminate the puny humans!
