Join The Browncoats

The Independence movement wants you! Join The Browncoats and support the fight against tyranny and for the right to wear tightpants. There's no need to be a Firefly/Serenity fan to join, although you're missing out if you haven't seen either of them.

Membership is open to all individuals seeking to be free in their own corner of space and who are willing to fight for that right. Forums will be coming soon.

While I dont know enough about Empires in GalCiv2 (or GalCiv1 for that matter) to make a decision, this one so far has the strongest appeal to me so far.

Empires are a place to join with others and share the experience of playing Gal Civ along with competing against other empires for high scores on the Metaverse. With forums empires can share strategies and how their games have went along with whatever else.

I had been indecisive about an empire to join for Gal Civ 2, but then I just decided to make the one I would like to join the most.

Im still looking around for a empire to join, couldnt be botherd making my own empire as i dont have the will to maintain a successful empire myself. Have to say i might join this one, nothing hotter than Firefly.

I apparently can't join without making a character, which I cant do without a serial number, which I won't have untill I get my copy from gamespot (bad idea, shoulda just gone the route of DLing it.) Anyway, ill probably join up sometime this week once I can.

We have done the impossible and that makes us mighty.

Edit: Hrm...I can't create a character. I have a preload serial#, but it is a temporary one because I ordered the CD version. The character creator thing must only accept non-temp serial numbers.

I have the online pre-order, but it says my serial isn't valid (not activated). I think it must be activated at launch day.

I didn't have any problems registering a metaverse character with a pre-order serial either. I just copied and pasted it from Stardock Central and that worked fine.

Anyway, welcome all new members and future members, I'll try to get forum setup tonight.

Just FYI that the creator definately wants to continue it. It's simply that Fox cancelled the show and now he can't take the show to another network due to contract reasons. The movie actually turned a profit with all the DVD sales so there is a slight chance Universal might pony up for a second movie. You never know as the landscape of movies making money is changing to include not just the box office sales.

The movie turned a huge profit tbh; I'd say that fox will eventually schedule a 2nd season, it's got too big of a following to ignore.
