I really do hope that the improvements for the planetary invasions go beyond a new invasion screen. For me they are the weakest element of gameplay and yet I would have thought worthy of a major revamp.

Since this..... I get an error message that arnor isn't registered. when I re-register it says my sn is invalid. when I get my numbers from SD they are not the same. All of the numbers show invalid both the ones in my e-mail when I bought it and the one from SD when I ask for my numbers ....covers my problem as well I'm being very lazy and not typing it out for myself.
I thought that I remembered reading quite a while ago that Brad was looking at making provision within the game for it to be able to make use of multi-core CPU's in the AI's decision making..? Unless that as gone as far as... Force AI to use max CPU ..as a setting within the games menu...? Is that being developed any further...?
+ Immense Galaxies eek You are not kidding are you....!!!! Albeit a very empty galaxy at the moment with limited races available.
Phew eventually got the serial number, many thanks for that Had a hairy time with sig.bins and the fact that the original Gal Civ II would no longer work, yes I still play it - came up with serial number or machine SID don't match, but all sorted now All looking good to play - hope those that are waiting are soon sorted <img src="smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 align="absm
mmm I have checked through my emails and I do not find any from Stardock to confirm my pre order for the game, even though the transaction went through ok. Now I'm concerned and so I have emailed them to check it out...
I pre ordered the game a while ago and yet it still does not show up within my account. Nor does the above method work. All I get via the automated email is both my GC II and DA serial numbers
Yup this site is not optimized to run with FF and i know of no way round the image thing other than to use the IE Tab extension and have the forums open in an IE tab. Just placed my order.... now sat waiting for the postie to delivery it
If you can run GC II, esp DA, then you should have no trouble at all in running this game. It is a pity that even though it was in development for such a long time that it hasn't been as 'polished' as it could have been, a bit of a rough diamond really. At least it seems that so much can be modified and, more importantly, there are many people willing to do it. Whilst the game will not suit everyone for those that have fond memories of X-Com it will not let you down -
Well I have been playing the game now for a few days and it is simply phenomenally good, even more so with the one particular mod that I am using... Mod Link There are warts with the game, tell me one where there aren't, and my first impressions were not that good. However continuing with the campaign I am amazed how 'just one more turn' type of compelling nature it ha
Thanks very much for the update, most appreciated I think that it is really cunning calling the 1.6 betas 1.59.05 (etc) - that, I sure, will not confuse anyone It might have been useful if, within SDC, it could give an indication of the file size of what you are about to download, the Heightmap
For those that can't even afford a couple of dollars then you must keep your eye on this.... Alien Invasion Link
One review here... Review Link ...there are plenty of mods already within the official forums that make up for the lack of keyboard control.

It needs a new hamster, or the existing hamster needs a hip replacement, or the batteries are due for changing.
...ah I see - I must admit it does look VERY special having a copy of GCII in a tin I suppose I will just cram my copy of DA, when it arrives, in the tin
Unfortunately, this is correct--Dark Avatar alone does not have a retail box (no such thing was ever made). If you want a retail box, you will need to get GC2Gold. I have no problem about getting the Gold version, if I had been aware of..... The download version not being an ISO but instead only a SD type of install The DA version, which I'm waiting for delivery, being a plain whi
I have been disappointed by it not being sold at retail in the UK, but I do understand the reason why. I paid for the downloaded version of DA expecting to be able to download a ISO and burn it to CD, I even sent support a question regarding this. I must have got the wrong understanding from their response as all I can do is to download and then archive the DA expansion as a SD type of image - thus needing SD to install it again. I had hoped to have the ISO type of ima
Strange for sure as those two files from the above zip are just the same as I got from the SD update....
The link works fine for me, here is the forum post.... https://forums.galciv2.com/?AID=149363#1179804
Having updated, via SD, my GCII I find that when I look at the title screen of DA it will show 1.6 beta 1. The Debug file will then read... Version v1.6 beta 1 Dark Avatar last updated on: Tue Apr 3 16:54:35 2007 However when running SD it will show my version to be 1.59.078 for DA But with this post... Frogboy post it suggests that the 1.6 beta 1 is not yet available...???
