Hi there everybody, I've been having email trouble so I haven't been able to email support yet, however, I thought I'd try here... after searching and reading through it seems I'm experiencing much of the same problems most people have with 1.6 Beta 5. It started with seemingly random crashes (sometimes a full restart of the computer) it seems to center around saving, and from what I gather this is the typically called 'out of memory' bug thats been showing up... it should be used for DA, it would be a matter of careful Copy/pasting from the race config to get it to work for DL
well the carinoids still exist, so why wouldnt there ships still be carinoid? Their picture simply was changed... was this perhaps a different race that had ships labeled as such? If you downloaded the file and its not a .zip i suggest trying again, as stardock required and accepted a .zip file, it could not Be a .rar or other... so my guess is an incomplete/corrupt download... Tested the download, worked fine for me, good luck..
Hello everyone, I was talking in another thread about minor races, and well now I have released a mod exploring the idea of having more variety in the minors. This Mod adds a total of 8 new and original minor races that will occur in your games, in addition to this several of the old races were changed in order to eliminate the repetition of the race pics. The demeanors of these races vary, you will find that there are mostly neutral, but there are a couple of more 'good' and 'evil' one
none of them are from other games that I know of... most are actually findable on the internet... glad you like them
well i have made more minors (about 10?) and the mod is currently up for approval... I tried to adjust attitude by setting the alignment, which determined good/neutral/evil and by setting their personality AI, to say 8 (human) or 11(Korath?) IN addition to this I inserted a line for aggression (the one for custom races AI)... However I believe that their actions are sadly hard-coded to be fairly un-aggressive... well judging by the volume of topics you can find by searching Minor Race that state how un-cool thats been I kinda disagree honestly they should be able to span to say three colonies and actually build some useful ships... as opposed to just kind of wait for their extinction. If its something purely to be exploited than it might as well be a galactic resource.
