Here are a few extra tips that I have found out for myself or from others in these very forums. These have helped me move up the difficulty levels to where I'm now playing Painful (badly) but i'll win someday! :D 1. I use the minors as my cash cows. As soon as I have universal translators and am ahead in techs I start trading with them. Go for # of creds over ### of turns. This will help in the long term. 2. Start slow 5 for 20, or 5 for 50. Hi, I have the same problem but I think I know why. The game I bought was second-hand. This probably means that the person who had it before registered it and their e-mail address is being mixed with mine. I get the "failed to validate your GlaCiv registration info" every time I load Stardock central. Guess I'm SOL and will have to wait for GalCiv II! Dave
Just throwing my two cents in. :) You also have to take into consideration that military/social production costs are different then research. For M/S only a third of the total is free but for research 2/3 are free. The numbers you see on the planet screen above your shields etc. always show (6+2) let's say. This means that 6 of your points cost and the other 2 don't. This means that changing your sliders will have different affects depending on what you set each at. For more info on th
Good day Haldur, Just wanted to let you know that I have had this problem three times in one game so far (game is ongoing). What I have noticed also is that my military and social production goes to zero for one turn when this happens. I believe my total research is affected also but I still get some benefits from somewhere so research isn't zero. I'm currently in the red by a couple hundred and slowly climbing out. ;) Seems like a bug to me but then again I'm very new to this game
