Well you know is been talked about on the forums for a while now, dont have any links to a post tho, so sorry on that. But is POSSIBLE that planetary bombardment and tactical combat may get into GalCiv 3, also I remmember some of the Developers saying that GalCiv 3 is "not on this decade", so we will have to wait for a while <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Ew.gif" border

thats why stock market planets where important, slap 1 farm with 100% bonus, or just 2 farms with no bonus, and all other building stock markets and the morale shoudlve stayed pretty high, but that isn't possible anymore with 1.4 aint it?... If you can't win without it, you probably didn't deserve to win with it. Mumblefratz, im pretty s
no , i think there is a new version with no morale on stock markets, Ive seen other posts out there about it, but I wont get it, I dont have any problems at all with 1.31, and its hellava more fun with more money, no fun with less money, bahh Monc34
Exactly Shamgar, there fodder for my eating anyways, but nahhh, most of the time I make them my allies, just cuz they provide a secure trading partner when the going gets rough, In fact my personal mission by mid-end game is to protect this races, if some1 attack them they'll regret it!!! >=] They also provide cheap technologies if your allied with them, especially if that Event happens, the 1 where it say "The (X RACE) Have Stolen (Y RACE)'s techs and are willing to Trade them, but the
WTF?>??!!!! 1.4??????!!! I didnt even know!! Why didnt nobody tell me!! Theres nothing on the main site that tells me theres a new version, and no morale on Stock Markets,WTF , NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooo Mumblefratz we shoudlve never told them creators, ARGHHH!!!! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Mad.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmid
It bothers me that I can't just attack minor races, but my AI opponants can. What are you talking about?? Care to elaborate??? I mean, I can invade them and fight them just like anyther Major race, AFAIK. Monc34
Just like the Cardasian and Romulan Borders on Star Trek! Monc34
We SHOULD have a border, but the creators already said that Galciv 3 will have borders. It would be awsome to have it on GalCiv 2, but you would have to change the game code considerably to make it happen, lets just say that it can not be modded in. What I would love to have NOW is have some kind of a Diplomatic treaty in where civilizations wich are cool, neutral or warm in relations could settle border disputes with a simple "DMZ" or "DEMILITARIZED ZONE". That would
Im a graphics whore, so any game that has good graphics will appeal to me But when I saw this 1, it really looked awsome, it hasnt changed much thogh, no release date as of yet... Monc34
Thats not necessary for large ,huge and gigantic maps, where you have tons of money, and dont have to worry about income at all. If you dont have a military for a too much time on a gigantic galaxy, I can assure you, you wont reach the year 2229. Monc34
You know, if you do have the time to research all of those techs and keep playin, just give it a shot and Im pretty sure it will work, cuz the top 3 weapons are small enough to fit many of them on the ship with a little space left to put in the necessary defence at the time. But when your just in mid phase of the game, its most definatly not the most efficient way at all. And just to clarify, I didnt feel u were picking on me mate, so dont worry about that! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/g
Well, cuz most of the time when im fightin powerful enemies, they will have very very VERY high defences, the only way to get around them is to either, have very high tech on 1 of the weapons, or try to get around them by researching a new type of weapon, wich is very time consuming and by the time ur done ur going to probably die,so either trade a powerful weapon and then use only that new weapon on a ship, or put that new weapon with the high tech old weapon, wich is BAD cuz of their high defe
It also turned out to be a cheaper design that 3x, about 500 credits less for each one, and about 20 maintenance less, wich in the long term is a tidy amount more per turn, always great to have more money dont you guyz think?? Monc34
Yes Mumblefratz, having 1 and only 1 type of weapon is better than 2 or all 3 put together on 1 ship. The fleet I showed you on the other thread was compsed of 4 ships, 2 of them were beam atck and defence, with the other to being beam defence and missle offence, and beam defence and mass drivers. The reason I use a lot of Ultimate Invulnerability is because you can put
You guyz can see from this picture that they really got owned. Monc34 <img src="http://images.s
Im going to star off by saying that I started playing GalCiv2 the day it came out at normal difficulty and on small to large maps. After a while of figuring out what are the best strategies for winning on those maps and getting an idea of what to build and research and in what order, then I jumped to tough. I was delighted to know the computer then took preemtive action when more than 2-4 transports are close or within their borders. I started a game around the first week of september
That is a good idea, until the AI invades ME! Remmember the AI ships are SLOW, as ppl have alrdy pointed out is the REAL cause of the problem, so if this rule does get implemented it would be a death sentence to the AI, everytime they invade me, theyll be SO slow, with 4 fleets I might kill 6or 7 fleets cuz of more mobility cuz I use 4-5 engines on each ship. Just fix the AI, I am NOT a programmer and have NO idea how difficult it might be, but it turns out that a LOT of features have been r
Yeah well you can say whatever you want, but youve been trying to convince this guyz to not spend anytime on develoment on carriers, discouragement at every corner.. Monc34
frogboy vs the community, how nice... Its not us that is going to lose money in the long run. Ohhh, and yes, they are fun on other games, and they would OWNZ on this game. Sorry, but I live in America, Freedom of Speech and all you know, just cuz the developer doesnt like it, doesnt mean other ppl dont... <img src="http://thu
Must everything be a paint by numbers with some of you? Or how about if I use crayons. Obviously there would be scanners, drones, starbases(remember those) or whatever the hell else would be necessary to scan all of that space as you pointed out. How the heck do the Klingons know if the Enterprise is breaching their borders in all of those movies? Or any other sci-fi for
That imageshack does the same thing, just in a different way. It has an annoying thing that pisses me off that makes the picture look very small, and you have to click the picture to take you to an add, and then you have to click "BACK" on the browser to see the full picture. Ughhhh Monc34
Agreed with Moosetek, DO NOT upgrade while still playing a game, its better to finish the current game and THEN update. Can you post the debug.err file on C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2 Open it up with notepad and post its FULL contents here and let us know what your computer's hardware is and stuff. Monc34
Brad Wardell sayed: But when deciding what to put into the game, we have to look at how many people will really want the feature who already have the game vs. how much it will cost to put into the game. Let's take multiplayer as an example. Multiplayer advocates are very vocal about the feature. But poll after poll, and any other measurable criteria we use (i
Well thats kool and all, but why is it that requiring an account is so bad?? I have to make an account on ALL forums I go so I can post, and GalCiv forums are no exception, so a simple 3 minutes of your life isnt that long, go ahead and use it, if just to make me feel usefull around here Monc34
