It is TRUE that in the planet management screen (so called "colony management") the weeks left are incorrect by 2-4 turns depending on your spending and % , but if you look at the bottom of the main screen there are 6 buttons, Planet/Ship List,Research Screen, Domestic Stats, Foreign Stats, Civilization Manager, and the Shipyard. I wouldnt wanna upgrade a colony ship to ANYTHING close to begining of the game, can hurt economy pretty bad if not done carefully, much less upgrading to a contructor, one of the most expensive units early on. its like 2500 $$ so imagin you go colonize a planet then the drengins get it, and then you see a military resource close by so your like OMGFG!!!! and upgrade, not only do you get fked on benjamin$ , theres not enough money to make the starbase!! and then you got to wait like 3-5 turns JU
im not sure if production carries over excess shields to next ship, but when you have a planet not making a ship, it shouldnt waste shields, unlike social production... Monc34

You can delete ships manulally if that becomes anoying ingame at My Documents\My Games\GalCiv2\ships . Delete the .shipcfg and .shipclass files an you shouldnt see them ingame. And i have a pretty powerfull pc and game doesnt have ANY problem at all, and I recommend it to ANY 1 out there that likes 4X strategy games. Peace Out Monc34
A clear answer would be to lower down anti-aliasing settings on OPTIONS==>VIDEO , on the Video Options tab , right below the Resolution settign there you can play with your settigns until that "jerky lag" goes away. Looking at your computer specs I see you have a 5200 nvidia card, so i recomend puting your setting to 2x Anti Aliasing or lower. Hope That Helps Monc34
