This error log is a Dreadlords crash. This time it let me get past the done button. So I tried to save it, then it crashed. This Crash wasn't caused by the Dreadlords arrival, but I do have another crash issue that seems to be previlent. Once it gets past a couple of crashes its seems to run fine. Here is the debug. As you can see alot of errors. I installed the gold version of Gal Civ. To the F drive. I have the downloaded version of TA for now. Twice in a row now the arrival of the Dreadlords caused the game to crash. I get the Woe be to all screen then crash to desktop. I am running the downloaded version of TotA, Windows Vista 32 service pac 1. All drivers updated. Sound, Video, MB, and bios. Guess I will go back an autosave again and hope this random event doesn't occur.

I will say one thing ,,,,once EA or Activisoin, or Atari release a game ... It may get a patch ... but it certainly will not evolve much if any.... With the Gal Civs they evolve a bit over time .. the designers are not afraid to dial it in so to speak after reading all the feed back. planets rotate around suns penalty for attacking minor races rather then any minor race that pops up a free size 15 planet to the first to get there space monsters the ability to move rally points and keep their setups.. Really Need to be able to move Rally Point and Keep Setup and not have to relink all the planets again. Especiall for say one kind of ship. Like have a rally point set for constructors and one for warships and one for troop ships.... 3 would do. Or keep settings for a rally point so you can move it around... maybe give the human player F1 - F5 rally points that are stable. OR...... I didn't read the manual and played the whole gam

what is the difference between difficulty level.... and the intellegence setting on the AI... Is difficulty level just reflective of the choices you made to AI settings on the individual races? Starbase building is horrible, I must be doing something wrong.. with 20 planets churning out constructors going to a dozen starbases ...each starbase tech gives more upgrades I bet a starbase requires 40 ships to build up properly. So do missles +10 and +5 stack if so you should be required to build the +5 first before opening up the +10. Old human ship designs show up on my new race with Yor ship hulls and look really wierd when they try to picture the ship design. <

I had the same problem with the last build of the game corrupted to saves the only file that would reload was the quick file...This carried over into the new build as well. But I create a couple of save files I always write over. Until I erased those files and recreated them It would always say it saved fine but would CDT when I tried to load them. Is there a way to save a design as a hull so you could call up that design install various components on it then give it a new name? If I call up a hull now which is really a ship design it overwrites that ship design and upgrades all my ships in game. It would be nice to be able to save a hull design without components as a hull. I have the cursor issue with the Nvidida 7800 as well... Also named save games quit working once the huge map got into mid late game, but quick save works. If I try loading a named save game it crashed to desktop, I even tried sending the error report to microsoft when the send dont send button pops up.... Dont laugh I have actually had that work once. I still think the freighter being sent for the trade adds alot ...it could get intercepted on either leg of the journey and you would have to have establised a tech trade agreement....they are missing some of the finer diplomacy options anyway... trade agreements, tech agreements, non aggression agreements. It would enhance that portion of the game anyway. Might make you want to arm a freighter that you send for a tech. The freighter also adds the non instantanious procurement of techs. Might

A hero could simply be a module you get to install on a ship with zero space/weight factor with varying qualities pluse to defense attack speed. For a planet it could be like a governors house that creates its own space that gives a bonus to something. To use existing game mechanics would make the implementation easier.

Well here we are... The game got to the point where no named save game would work....but the quick save would work... then it happened.... the cursor was left on the screen ... or the graphic was fixed.... I could still scroll the map with the mouse but no cursor ..if I right clicked it tried to move a fleet there so it was I believe invisible .. alt tabing resulted in the same thing on my desktop window... I would like to see the planets rotate like Space Rangers 2 and like the do the moons around the planets already. That would be cool. Planets move one or two squares a turn in an orbit... I know with squares it wouldnt be exact but who cares. I did love the tactical combat of Moo2 and if they had forums at that time like this It would have been raped.
