I think the alliance thing is in the game if your good evil races dont like you so no alliances .... and really I'm talking about declaring war or gobbling up minor plantes since they seem to be relativly undefended and easy to take. Maybe declaring war on a good race makes you more evil and declaring war on an evil race makes you more good. Would be an interesting formula to play with.

tie social spending into a base moral ... ie: 25% social minimum or you take a moral hit. But if you use governors that automatically produce upgrades then you could expect swings in your economy and have to go turn them all off or use just selected projects...When you go to each planet and have them build starships you expect a swing so you should expect a swing when you research a project that would produce plantary upgrades.. I like not having to go manage all the upgrades... I lik
If you set social spending slider to 0% moral sucks if I'm not mistaken. i tried military and research at 50 50 and moral droped (as it should). It came back up instantly with increase in spending on social. Need to make sure on this. make the rounds selling techs to all races and minors if very cash effective. If you have 10 star ports and only one has a project, is 100% of your military spending utilized on that one ship being built? Same for social projects?
There should be if there isn't a hit to your good/evil rating if you just conqure one because you like their planet, at least the same as if you made one of the evil choices on one of the pop ups you occasionally get when you find a planet or random events. I can't find my good evil rating to be sure but I captured 3 minor races because they had better planets and didn't seem to effect my good rating with my good friends.... meaning same alignment friends or other independents that might be in d
Read the manual, "never" I'm great at these type games. LoL Took me a bit of forum reading to get my head around the economy and interface. Economy if I get it .. big IF... your building factories and research centers like a "motor" , with the slider, 0 to 100% (default 50%) as the gas pedal to pump your "credits" "cash" through it as fast or slow as you like? Which is different from you buy a factory it produces x production. Interface is good once you get used to al
Saved the game mid to late game .... Saved game would not load but happend to quick save as well ..... The quick save loaded....... continued to play...... Same sequence is happening now .... I can never get the named save game to load but the quick save loads every time. I have even tried saving multiple named save games with the same effect .. but the quick save loads just fine. Note: loading the named save game causes a CDT with the respective do you want to send Microsoft an err
It would be good if they could be carried on a Carrier.
I would like to see lighter text colors in the combat viewer the red and blue text are almost unreadable to me with that dark background... I have to get my friggen glasses out.... yes its simply a pain and not a big deal but you asked for simple tweaks.
Researched 2 hull increashing techs,,,, +15 and +10 I have 3 maxed out bases mining military... 2nd campaign scenario.... I have large hulls.... my hp's are 35 ish theirs are 50ish ... my hull hps didnt increas with researching those 2 techs... I tried upgrading and building a new large design no luck... what gives?
This seems off hand to be a much less complex game then GalCiv 1, Why is this game better then GalCiv I ? I don't know but I was expecting a little more depth not less. Its like this year is the dumbed down versions of Gal Civ and Civ 4. A little better graphics but less game play in both titles. No wonder it appeals to the masses. Of course this is my initial impression after playing for 2 days. Lets see after a week. But so far to me the Emperor has no clothes.
I have a tile that says 100% approval... what is approval... is it moral, or influence.. I dont have anything to build that says approval.
What is the key used for next ship? I missed it so it must be obvious.
