Well Terror Stars are just way cool. Don't know about the charge up time frame but I do believe in the 1 space per turn movement restriction. Starpot building them is not really a good idea. Since it would be a space built entity. But your on the right track it would have to be built initially in your sphere of influence only. So you can't just send over 10 or 20 or whatver the magic number of constructors will be to create it to the enemys planet. Lets face it you send a fleet or a line of con

What is the "HEROS" option in that list? I don't quite get that one... personally I like several of the options in the listing.. I love customizing alot and the more random things can get the better at least for me. Improved tactics and battles would be cool. I find the idea of assorted Alliace types intriguing You can have a military alliance with someone and not lose your economic position with another. That would be cool.

Well I was hoping the Terror Stars would have shown up in 1.2. In a previous posting I pointed out that Terror Stars would be planet killers and using the Andromeda Series Nova Bombs to take out a whole star system. But the AI would have to have a way as well as yourself, to see or learn that someone is researching that tech. There has to be a way to counter both types of weapons in order to maintain game balance. A terror Star is useless against a fleet of ships. and 1 shot deal nova bomb ca
now what would be good if you had a range setting for it. something like 15 range would allow you time to move a fleet in to protect the starbase. Since many times I see the AI get right up to a starbase and take it out. They are nice things to watch unless it's your starbase. Rush the research of Huge ships. and planet invasion. Create about 20 huge ships with nothing on them. push them out the fastest planet you have producing. Now create a huge troop transport ship. Take those 20 huges useless ships and create a fleet(s) move them into your enemy's territory preferably at their high PQ planets then mass upgrade. and invade. They wont see you massing a fleet of warships and wont build up defensive ships on the planet. At most they will have 1 defender. So make sur
Good point if your without a planet or Starbase at all ( and generally the AI is pretty good at targeting your Starbases first if any ) your ship would not be able to move anywhere at all. This would mean that in order for it to work your last ship(s) should have a limited range. Of course if it's a troop transport ship as your last resort it should be allowed to travel only as far as the nearest planet and attempt invasion ( provided it's not blasted outta the cosmos before you get the chanc
You can use Lightwave and just add the directx free plugin that exports the model in version 7 format or version 8 format. I did the Trek Doomsday Machine and converted it to Direct X through Modeller. worked like a charm for that part but I'm not versed enuff yet to get the actual model to show up in the game I need to know the naming conventions for the Custom Player Ships since I want the models there not just as humans..

Generally I find the AI's with just 3 planets ( or at least from what I can see are only 3 planets) I rarely ever see the AI minor races with more than 1 planet shame about that.. Anyhow.. I would like to see the engine class used to affect the weapons damage ability as well. Face it you have a warp core that you can pull power from to get that extra 3 pts of damage. get a tiny ship with laser 1 and a great egine and you have a 5 pts damage ability same for the shielding as well. The more power you have the better it should be. Is there any chance that we will be able to model new starbase? So that each Civ has a unique style base design. I see this as an avenue that has'nt been approached yet..
