WARNING: Very "Wordy" Life Support Text. Iron Ghost's "Life Support Tech and Component" flavor text changes. I felt that the life-support tech descriptions were a little on the sparse side, though functional, I like my techs to be wordy ;) A little more explanation about why I spent so much money was in order. Below are the fl

I just finished my own 14 day trial, and to just pass on some wonderful newbie advice: There are certain skills a trial account cannot train, so try and learn a skill, (such as "Min Industrial 1") BEFORE buying the respective ship...(mammoth...) I was one sad trial account baby ;) But for the most part, I found Eve to be rather fun and enjoyable. A great change of pace for an On-again, Off-again WoW player.

The sad part about immense: Your star limit is capped the same as the next size down. 250 stars max I believe...so that means what? Immense will just give you an insane amount of open spaces ;). But I still love it!
Here is the link:https://www.galciv2.com/Databank/faq.aspx
After reading through this I would come to the conclusion that the information on the provided link is rather old and dated. I've driven myself around plenty of times through the "dark alleys" of galciv2.com, and let me tell you, there are some places you want to keep your windows rolled up and your doors locked. In other words: Many of the links, pathways within the galciv2.com site seem to c

Ahh Nvm I just checked, on a hunch, for the PDF within the game folder...low and behold...I have stumbled upon the manual! Signing Treaties (Dark Avatar)
Players can sign special treaties with alien civilizations. Certain treaties can only be enacted with individual players and are permanent unless you go to war with them. Economic Treaties: These take 10% of your economic output and shares it with that civilization (or with you if they’re trading it to
Charging Stalks
This. I played Yor a few times myself during the beta. I find that the econ techs bundled along with charging stalks will stabilize your economy. Also, don't neglect trade. Its pretty nice to have early on with the "new economy."
I'd love to put up a module that just changes the United Planets in GalCiv II. Or a module that adds new types of planets or new super abilities or new random events or whatever. But I'm not doing that for free. We'd have to be paid for it. I'd probably ask for $9.95 or something per module. But would we get massively flamed? Probably.

If $10 for a(n)... overhaul is what you guys have in mind for a cost-to-content ratio for microtransactions, I genuinely think
You know, you guys who post as if you're experts on the game engine and all could at least verify that you know what you're talking about. I don't mean to be cranky but you could just load up a game, look at how much research you're doing, see how many turns it takes and then recognize that the cost of a given tech fluxuates greatly based on a large number of criteria. There is exponential relationships in the cost of techs based on many different factors.
T
TA will have editors which you can use to greatly increase research costs.
You are 100% about the new "Editors" packaged with Twilight. But... Metaverse anyone? Modding in such a way will limit the games I will be able to submit :( Am I mistaken? I plan on submitting games with the release of Twilight. I prefer the "epic" feel of long games and am eagerly looking forward to the new immense size maps.
A player might want an immense game with a very fast tech speed. If it automatically scales, you are taking that option away.
I have had a vision: It entails a radio button or check box..."Scale Research with Map" (The above statement is an attempt at humor, which is most cases in forums, is not "caught") But your point is entirely all too true, Mr. City. With all the core changes with how the game is played coming with
That means a "Mega Slow" setting would just make the beginning of the game extremely painful.
I couldn't agree more. ;) I'll edit the above final question to reflect this. I would like to point out what I posted in my third section:
Imo, that the "Research Speed Option" should scale with map size. And if possible # of habitable planets, and so on. The farther up the tech tree, the more expensive techs should get, even more so than what is currentl
Actually, you guys want to know the one-week delay cause? The new ridiculously large galaxy size. They have to be play tested and those things take serious time.

I forgive you..... Is there really going to be a ridiculously large galaxy size?
Immense? Or is there another, larger sandbox coming? :O
