Can anyone spell out what was his "crime" he get banned for ? I mean what so evil he did or said that forced SD moderators that usually very tolerant to ban him ? Without knowing this it's hard to make an opinion.

Oh i just read some of the other suggestions. I definately agree that a 2nd wave of anomolies would be fun. However....It should require a different type of survey module...something you have to research This too, but not "second wave" bette
- Space Monster No space 4x game is complete without a couple of them! Either a single, powerful one or a swarm, similar to locusts. (MoO style space monster / Tyranid like invasion) - Black Hole A black hole opens in a sector of space, drawing each ship traversing it towards its center with a given speed per week. Fast ships can escape its pull. - Artifact World A new planet is discovered, guarded by a ridiculously po
Vista is slower then XP in all games. Not only it uses about x2 memory when started "empty" (XP ~200MB , Vista ~400MB) but it also all the DRM video/audio checks slow things down. So either wait for SP1 or get back to more or less stable OS like XP. Even Dell now backsteped and give an option to perches PC with XP instead of initial "Vista only".
Sounds crap, "gamer will spend most of his time guiding fleets from planet to planet" - how exciting Well when it will be ready we will see but from about 6-7 games of this style I tried only "Homeworld" was OK but even there it was a problem to control all at once.
For me weakest "legacy" feature that remained from original CalCiv is UP consul. The proposals are completely random and you have no control over them. The "randomization" element in game is already fulfilled by Mega and other events, what I want to see with UP is : 1. Option to suggest some proposal for user once a while (my be each will be able to suggest player in turn) from the list of possibilities that grows as technologies e
And that equally impotent it does not require you to have internet connection running to play like Steam .
The only problem the AC approach would have here is that it would allow high-Diplomacy players (who already have many advantages) to overcome other races' Influence advantage in the UP. Isn't that is what happens in real life ?
DA is out and it's a great. However there is one thing left from original GalCiv that I do not like - the random UN events. What I really prefer is to have ability once a while suggest some new UN low (or cancel old one) by myself and give equal power to AI players so the proposed resolution would correspond to the race tactics instead of being completely random.
I have to agree, I was playing GalCiv , Altarian Prophecy , GalCiv2 and while I liked them it was mainly because there was nothing better. The DA is the first part where I REALLY started to enjoy , actually not even storyline which is OK but nothing too special, but the gameplay itself - the features , the balance , the level of complexity everything seems "just about right".
Due such Vista "features" as need to reactivate every 3 months, intentional "destroying" HD resolutions video quality if non HDCP complient hardware and software used and license limitation that you can't use it on your computer after upgrade and many many others ... I stay with XP ... May be not forever, I am sure in a year - year and half there will be enough programs "Vista only" that will force me to move but until I absolutely have no choice ... I believe StarDoc
It's pity that you have to choose only one. I love GC2 but I wouldn't vote for it over Warhammer, Civilization IV or Raise of the Legends . Equal - yes, better - no. Also I have enough spam to register there...
Not the dialog about account expiring but when I go to "Tools"->"Register Products" in the dialog there I select "Games" on left , then "Games subscription" on right , enter my e-mail and TotalGaming serial and hit "Update" button , after pressing "OK" in the field where I had number of tokens left listed I have following text: "Subscription expires 26 August 2007" ... The SDC is lates , just updated today (build 139).
According to the link - no , but according to my SDC - yes it will expire on April 2007 ... Can anyone explain ?
Well of course I "killed" SDC using TaskManager and when started it again it's no longer requested update , current version is 2.38.432 build 139 is it OK ? Anyway also noticed a new version of GC2 ... When installing DA btw had a problem with serial but then I realzed that I can retrieve it again so I did and it went fine besides the fact that since I changed the e-mail on Stardock it won't register at first since it had an old e-mail there (in registration dialog), so after I
Well I readed about DA BETA that I preoprdered , so fired up SDC , it told me "new version available" so I selected "yes" for update and minimized it to continue reading site and forums.... So now it's "stuck" - does nothing , won't restore , won't to Alt-Tab to it and even right clicking on it in the taskbar does not bring usual window ...
Too much talk about consoles
Well thank's for defending my point but I DO preorder games , sometimes ... But usually I have at least some information about it - either I liked prev. part or I played a demo and such . "Sins" is totally unknown "thing" no I no anyone else have ANY information about it besides name , one screenshoot (that probably not even a screenshot but a artist drawing) and a very short "universe d
Look guys , the game is totally unknown, how can you be sure that you will like it if all you have is a couple of screen shoots and back story ? With GC it was different - I downloaded a demo, liked it , bought , then i PREORDERED Antares because I KNEW it GC style that I like , then I PREORDERED GC2 because I KNEW it is in style I like , now I PREORDERED DA because I KNOW it's a game in a style I like ... But this "Sins" ... they MIGHT be the style I like or MIGHT NOT , I c
Hm... too high price for something that not only does not have a demo but not even a beta version... "Access to beta" is a good thing when you have something trustworthy and "proven by time" as GC , but with new game - just high cost promises. Better to spend money on Star Empires V , Gothic 3 , Dark Messiah , NWN 2 for nor now and when game will be available (or at least beta demo) and IF it will be good or THEN to spend the money.
I guess I will buy it , but the question is for how much ? It depends on the features, if just another story it should not worth more then $7-10 . Anyway it should not exceed $20 price.
evs are against race-specific techs. The only thing that is race-specifics are the starting capabilities. I agree on that too, but there is a difference between race speciffic tech and race speciffic tech looks Well you got the idea....
I had to take a pass on Etherlords II because it had the Nasty DRM Program Which Is Not To Be Named. Really , will it be "GameF..." free? will StarDoc use it's on usual activation/protection and thats it ?
No Etherlords @ yet , nice game btw . Also why not Heroes of Might and Magic 5 ? - it's a Nival game too ...
Way to go ! I LOVE Dark Avatar plans ! , the only question I have - why some of ths things (like dofferent environment for planets) were not implemented in original game ? Another thing - still no tactical combat
